From the iconic cross made by Juan and Grant. Not all carlablackiae x BVEP hybrids looks the same, and the ones from this batch are surely my favorites! Mostly because of the carlablackiae ‘GPH - 001’ seed parent really shining true in the veins and colors although I also really like the BVEP ‘Round’ pollen parent.
This plant is the whole reason I initially started looking into importing from the States when I was just starting my anthurium collecting journey, so she's actually really special to me because I got to meet some pretty amazing people along the way. However she spent two weeks in a box during winter throughout the import and seemed to arrive with a little bit of cold damage. But she's definitely a sturdy one and recovered quickly and really nicely.
I love to use her as a breeding plant because she always delievered very healthy and plump seeds. Her growth parent takes a lot after the carlablackiae, so her internodes are very tight - and she very much dislike being cut. The first and only butt cut I took from my mother plant froze her in time for nothing less than six months. So I'm only very rarely able to offer clones/offsets from her although they are highly requested.
